A LITTLE BIT MORE

So... I went shopping again today. It really has to be the last time I go for the semester. I got another ring and a bracelet from Marc Jacobs... Molly really wanted to go after seeing my items and hearing the prices.

I also got this slouchy sweater dress at H&M but I'm debating whether I should keep it or not... so if anyone has thoughts... hehe.
I also got this fantastic fitted velvet-ish blazer from H&M. Now it is time to save for Europe. Seriously.

Also, this video popped up in my fbook news feed courtesy of Jared to Riley, it's a music video by the band "Girls." I like the footage in it.

MARC JACOBS

So today I went to Marc by Marc Jacobs to get some rainboots. There was a purse (there are several variations... but same idea, with the bird) that I LOVED but it was over three hundred dollars, so that did not happen. However I did end up with a few lovely items.

A ring with the Latin: INTER NOS meaning "between us" for three dollars. (I kinda want another one, there are other phrases... I also like Tibi In Omne Tempus - For you forever)

A looking glass necklace for ten dollars. A key ring for five dollars.

And black and blue rainboots for twenty eight dollars. Felicia, the producer for my Film Two had the black and green ones on today as we explored our location, a fantastic granite quarry with train train tracks, really cool old abandoned buildings, a lake, and lush vegetation that was starting to change color. There was a great big pit that was surreal and fantastic, everything looked cut and smooth and rocky. I got some pictures on black and white 35mm that will also be used for my photo class. I really want to go to Urban to get a little softcover Polaroid book that they have for eight dollars that goes towards the Impossible Project.

HONEY AND THE MOON

Don't know why I'm still afraid
If you weren't real I would make you up
now
I wish that I could follow through
I know that your love is true
and deep
as the sea
but right now
everything you want is wrong,
and right now
all your dreams are waking up,
and right now
I wish I could follow you
to the shores
of freedom,
where no one lives.

Remember when we first met
and everything was still a bet
in love's game
you would call; I'd call you back
and then I'd leave
a message
on your answering
machine

But right now
everything is turning blue,
and right now
the sun is trying to kill the moon,
and right now
I wish I could follow you
to the shores
of freedom,
where no one lives

Freedom
run away tonight
freedom, freedom
run away
run away tonight

We're made out of blood and rust
looking for someone to trust
without
a fight
I think that you came too soon
you're the honey and the moon
that lights
up my night

But right now
everything you want is wrong,
and right now
all your dreams are waking up,
and right now
I wish that I could follow you
to the shores
of freedom
where no one lives

freedom
run away tonight
freedom freedom
run away
run away tonight

we got too much time to kill
like pigeons on my windowsill
we hang around

ever since I've been with you
you hold me up
all the time I'm falling down

But right now
everything is turning blue,
and right now
the sun is trying to kill the moon,
and right now
i wish i could follow you
to the shores
of freedom
where no one lives

freedom
run away tonight
freedom freedom
run away
run away tonight

There are so many bits of this I love. I couldn't decided what piece to make my status. In the end I went with "you're the honey and the moon that lights up my night" I think next I will do "we got too much time to kill like pigeons on my windowsill we hang around" and then "you would call; I'd call you back and then I'd leave a message on your answering machine." The whole thing is good.

PHOTOGRAPHIN

Edward Weston
Yelle, the French music artist started this crazy dance style called Tektonik that I find really interesting:

Also I like this it has interesting lighting and camera movement, and I just like it.

I've been really into photography lately, yesterday I learned how to develop black and white film which was really fun and wonderful. Today I went to an exhibit of Edward Weston's work at the Museum of Fine Arts with Jared and Sam. While I was waiting to meet them I got a potentially great photo of a nice young couple laughing, they were very willing subjects. I also snapped a few shots of Jared and Sam and the MFA, I'm hoping its a good batch because there are some really good potential shots. I really like this camera and have taken to carrying it around. I'm heading out to get Ethiopian food with Christine, Rita and one of Rita's friends. I'm wearing my new leggings:
Finally here is another interesting photographer who has a show at the MOMA right now: Mikhael Subotzky :
Oh! But I almost forgot Ellen Rogers who I've been wanting to share for a while:

ANOTHER HEALTHY HELPING

I just received two more book journals today... one about dinosaurs and a cookbook. The cookbook is for recipes, the dino is for thoughts and things.

One chapter in All About Dinosaurs is called... Hunting Dinosaurs With a Whisk Broom.
I like that they spelled cookie with a y, making it cooky.

The cookbook came with a recipe from a magazine paper clipped in. One of the fantastic things about bookjournals is that they will often come with whatever little surprises they found inside.

I've already put a handful of recipes in my little cookbook.
