I LOVE POLANOID.NET AND THIS IS WHY
I
I probably would have posted more. I just love that website, and posting these helps me hold onto it in my own way I suppose. My favorite is this last one. Of the legs.

DINOSAUR STYLE
So I am taking a production class. An intro to production class actually. For our first assignment we had to take photos to show our understanding of composition and framing. The class actually has a super cool concept behind it... you learn the elements of film that are often over looked before actually making films. That way you can learn programs while learning about framing and composition concepts, sound design, and creation of story and motion. However I do not like my teacher very much. He looks like an alien from Men in Black. Seriously. I'm really not kidding. Anyway, I'm rather pleased with one of the photos I took for the class. My whole aesthetic concept behind the assignment was a dinosaur. I have a wooden t-rex skeleton that I love, I used it to create five pictures that demonstrated five composition concepts. Here they are.

OH MY GOD
I love that photo so much. I want to cry. Because it is so great. I love it. It made my night. And made me cream. Just a little. I would never post such profanity had I not fallen madly in love. Oh god. Have I said I love it? Cause I do.
I WAS WRONG
The website of fantastic, orgasmic, lovely pictures is POLANOID.NET not .COM. Sorry for the mistake... I wasn't paying attention. Anyway I found this positively yummy picture on there as well. I haven't looked at the whole website yet so I can continue to explore and be pleasantly in love with all the great finds. Whoever takes these pictures is my photo god. I miss polaroids already.

SOME COOL PHOTOS OF THINGS FROM THE NET
A tote bag from Village. It can be found at vllg.com. Actually Ian's mom has this bag, I think it is quite fabby, I wouldn't mind one for myself. (I have a bag problem however, I'm going to restrain from buying it.)
This is an interesting twist on the concept of a treehouse. They are called Free Spirit Spheres. They will come and install them for you and then you do as you please. Some people use them for offices, or places to hang out, I don't think anyone lives in one... but you could. There are more piccys on the site: http://www.freespiritspheres.com
This last item is a fabulous stool. I found it on the same blog that had a bit about the tree sphere. (I was looking for information about an installation piece by the group Cracking Art. In July they had a piece at the Cloister of Bramante in Italy. I was writing a paper about art and conventions/context and a bit of history and started to research this piece, which is how I stumbled across the blog with the treehouse and this stool.) This stool is called: The One Shot Stool by Patrick Jouin. If you want to know the whole bit about it you can check out this guys blog... where I found all these things: http://oneandonlybrands.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
And just in case you were wondering what the Cracking Art piece looked like:

Ann and Gabby... Roomies.
My side of the room. The basic drift of the common room.

FAVORITES
I think I'll be posting more of the things that I like.
Quotes, songs, videos, consumer-horrish things, things you learn about in elementary science class, comics, websites, books.
But first I'm going to finish some homework. Because thats what college kids do. Well, besides drinking I guess.

OTHER THINGS I LIKE... BUT MORE TRASHY
So, I get sucked into the whole reality T.V. thing just like any other girl my age... but I have my favorites. First, Christian from Project Runway. I totally love him, and his phrases. Even if Ian is a super dork and doesn't get it. He always did the challenges correctly, fiercely, and fashionably. I think he is a rockstar designer. And he won!
Another thing that made this show amusing was of course Heidi Klum. "I have been dangling this sausage in front of you for weeks and now its like okay who gets it? Who will get the sausage?" or at something along those lines. Her awkward phrases and social interaction never fail. And on the subject of awkward Victoria's Secret Models....
Tyra Banks. Top Model is always on... and yes always sucks me in.
And finally... the Hills. (Probably the worst one he he.) I got into it by sitting around after school at home. The season 4 premier was on last night. I watched it with my roommate Ann, who surprisingly wasn't into it (she usually watches and enjoys all trash.) She didn't like how it wasn't "reality" like, established shots, editing. I have no idea if it is real or not... but I don't really care. It is entertainment.
I liked Lauren French squeeze... but Ann thought he was creepy. But, come on, he had wonderful fashion sense. Beatle boots, skinny but not too skinny jeans, leather jacket, just enough facial hair. At least I thought.
It was surprisingly tough for me to find the picture... but I got an awesome polaroid. Anyway he is from the band Rock and Roll, and his name is Matthias, I believe he is the guitarist. And apparently the Hills is "scripted reality"... I'm interested how that all works out.
So there you are. My reality T.V. picks!
HELP!
I cannot get over how much I love this movie. I love it so much I'm going to post pictures. The movie is HELP! in case you were wondering. It is super fabulous in many ways. Great music scenes, humorous, I can watch it numerous times without getting tired of it, I get more amused then anything. I was looking for images to go on my myspace and stumbled across these beauties. Speaking of movies... I watched Stagecoach in my film class today. A classic western with John Wayne. I rather like his pants. I had one more... but I think thats good!
