A CHAT BUBBLE
When I have time I would like to write a bit about Nantucket but in the meantime I have a lot of work to catch up on. I did want to share this though because it was just a nice thing to receive and I have been feeling a little lost and vulnerable these days. Its not something I normally share with the entire internet, but I think its a good thing to document for myself.

REPEAT
Okay. So not to be ridiculous. And post this on both blogs. And post this after Keighley. But seriously. This music video is brilliant. Enough so that I need to blab on about the framing for a little bit. First the beginning frame is a wonderful use of foreground, middleground and background and action coming into frame. Its like the dance floor scene in Loves of a Blonde (which is a wonderfully shot film as well. Watch it.) And then there is a ballerina on the left side of the frame through most of it who is kinda separated from the rest and cut off of a bit from the frame, it is SO BRILLIANT and wonderful. Its like those photographs that are made by the little extras at the edge of the frame. I'm sure Lauren Shaw, my photo teacher, would be into it. I mean just look at the freeze frame on the paused video, the ballerina on the right is cut off half way through her face but it is fantastic. In addition all of the overheads are slightly cropped or to the side and it works so well. The framing is just mesmerizing and inspiring to me and my cinematography head. I also have to say the colors are fantastic. As is the set and costume design. I need to know who shot this.

BURNING SHAME, WHAT A PAIN
So I have a UTI. I had to call a clinic and desperately beg them to prescribe me something due to the fact that the school's stupid clinic is not open on weekends. After the doctor told me several times "But I don't know you" I think he pitied me enough to ask me if I had allergies to anything and prescribed me some pills. Its been a great weekend. Nothing like having to suppress a yell of pain every time you have to urinate while simultaneously always feeling the need to pee. After rushing around to pick up the prescription I went over to the darkroom to frantically get as many prints done as possible. In the end I got three done and was running late for work. I am working until eleven today and since I had to deal with getting a prescription I didn't get to shoot my cinematography project and have to get up and shoot at like seven tomorrow because I am sharing the camera with the boy scout who of course wants to shoot early morning scenes. Rather then short ending the film I am just going to finish while walking over to his location with him. Then I have to head back to the darkroom and then work again. While I'm used to being this busy I do not normally have the treat of wanting to cry randomly due to my body being off and having to mentally prepare myself and use steady breathing before I pee. Having a vagina is great. Anyway, speaking of vaginas, I recently read a very interesting article in New York Times Magazine via lomo about an analog porn photographer. I will let you read the article to find out more. Here it is. I'll also give you the magazine blog and their video page. Also, here is this:
Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend.

I HAD TO DO SOMETHING I DO NOT LIKE TO DO
And crop my fbook profile piccy.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Apparently little miss redhead is an RA and the cute little Joey asked me kindly to get rid of her in some way (deleting or cropping) so she wouldn't be held accountable. Of course this is a reasonable request I just hate cropping photos like that. Bah. Plus her red hair added a good splash. Anyway. Last night was very fun. Malika and I started out at Sweetwater and had a few vodka with club sodas before meeting up with Livi and taking the T out to St. Marys to go to the sorority house for a 90s party. We made a brief appearance, taking a lot of alcohol with us as party favors and headed to Omri's on Cortes. There we danced and talked and drank and lost Livi (who ended up being nestled in the crack next to Omri's bed. Malika and I were sitting on the bed wondering out loud where she could be when a hand popped up... HERE I AM!). We left and walked back to the dorms stopping in Boston Park Plaza Hotel because Livi was insisting that we get a room for the night. She could visualize all of us in bathrobes. When the receptionist told us that they were fully booked, Livi said "Whatever, I can totally afford it" and left. We stopped on Boylston to make a limo driver take a photo of us with the car and continued to NYP where we bought three slices (Livi put way too many pepper flakes on hers and proceeded to dump them onto mine...) and got two more by talking to random people who had bought entire pizzas. Upon reaching the Little Building we talked the security guard into giving us one of the donuts that he had in a box on his desk (he actually had three boxes) and went up to my room. We ate the pizza and fell asleep. I woke up on the floor and tried to move to my bedroom only to realize that my bedroom door was locked and the key was in the room. So I went shopping in Molly's room (who was out for the night) and set up her pillow and comforter on the floor. Later in the night Livi did the same but got a body pillow to cover herself with. My alarm blared the radio for an hour when I couldn't turn it off in the morning and my phone died. We went to late breakfast at the Dining Hall and I returned back upstairs to find an RA. I hid our illegal appliances (rice cooker, coffee maker, hot water heater) in the bathtub and wrote a note saying "don't turn on shower, illegal items in bathtub." After the RA unlocked my room I returned everything and set about cleaning up. Malika's hood is still sitting in the chair she fell asleep in last night (she went back to her room at some point), we woke up to it covered in pizza crust chunks and a half eaten donut. I'm getting the disposable camera developed tomorrow.

HAIRZ
My hair is getting really long lately. I straightened it for the first time in a while last night.
I dyed a bit of my hair purple and blue and now it has faded to pink and purple, as seen in these photos.
This was the day we did it. We also visited the Chinatown dollar store and bought these fantastic "Special Lady" glitsey fan accessories.

I LIKE THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE
Last night I went on a adventure of sorts with the boy scout. We went up to beacon hill and hopped a fence to sit in a gated park under some branches. We climbed into a tree and spied before heading back to my room to listen to records and drink tea. I always know that it has been a good night when I find wood chips on my floor in the morning.
Here is proof that we were the best Castle group/a scene from the talent show. I made Dave's shirt even though you can't see what is drawn on it here. Enjoy.
I also have two more pairs of new boots... I have a problem. Pictures soooonnn.
